Okay, I am very reserved when it comes to making comments on current affairs. I know how people can judge you just for having an opinion of your own, but its okay, it’s okay to read, see and comment, it’s okay to be informed and analyze things differently from your peers.
So my 2 cents: Since the budget is almost being read for the 2017/2018 financial year in Kenya, I need to see more allocations to our security services, we all know how poor our servicemen are paid, how do we expect to end corruption if we won’t take care of the people who are assigned to maintain law and order in our country? With better pay comes more motivation, Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery needs to take better care of his wolf-pack.
I expect more allocation to the ministries that are handling the Vision 2030 flagship projects, I mean I would love to see what Mombasa-Malaba track of The standard gauge railway is going to bring to the table, I am talking about increased trade, the creation of jobs, faster traveling and much more. I see light at the end of the tunnel, I would like to see Lamu Port-South Sudan-Ethiopia- Transport completed and get to experience the opportunities it’s going to hold for us as well.
I talk infrastructure because I know with better infrastructure comes advanced technology, education, and sustainable economic growth rates that are going to transform lives of ordinary citizens.
Some might call me naive, but I truly believe in my country’s potential. In five years, I envision a vastly improved economic landscape. As a patriot, I choose to highlight the positives while addressing the challenges we face.
And as we prepare for elections, I will cast my vote not based on tribal affiliations, but for leaders committed to genuine development.
So, let’s celebrate the beauty of these transformative projects and the bright future they promise!
love and much love!!
